SONY announced the introduction of the PlayStation 4 on February 20, 2013. According to what is on ground now and from what we can see, it is safe to say that the PS4 looks next-geny.
Sadly, and almost unbelievably, we STILL don't know what the PlayStation
4 looks like. However, we do know it's coming out in the US in time for
Christmas 2013. There is also the DualShock 4 controller and we've seen
the new interface and a lot of the features it delivers. Here's

Sony revealed the system runs on a single-chip custom processor and
utilizes eight x86-64 AMD Jaguar CPU cores, with a next-gen AMD Radeon
based graphics engine powering the way.
Alongside the console, SONY also plans to release a new dual-shock controller...
It is very much a classic design. The DualShock 4 nevertheless offers upgraded
vibrations, enhanced motion sensors and a Vita-like touchpad on the
front.
RELEASE DATE
The only detail released by SONY concerning the release date for PS4 is "Holiday 2013". It is still unclear which territories that applies to but we know certainly the U.S and maybe Japan. Others might have to wait a little longer.
